GM and Chrysler won’t make it past March and do you know why? BECAUSE THEY DON’T MAKE A PROFIT! With the debt, wages, and loans they have to payback and the fact that no American wants to buy their garbage automobiles anymore has just put another nail in the coffin of the US auto industry. Your rejection to lower your already outrageous wages is just shows how your looking out for yourselves, not the company and certainly not the American people.

I’m not swallowing everything the media tells me. Unless the Big 3 falling apart is bullshit and they’re only doing this to get a piece of free money. Or if it IS falling apart, then why have a lot of people sung praises about their Toyotas and Hondas? The Old Big 3: Ford, Chrysler, and General Motors. THE NEW BIG 3: Toyota, Honda, and Mitsubishi.

  3. teamdummy Says:

so what american car built now breaks “every 5 minutes”? tell me. none of them. youre a misinformed idiot. go look how many recalls toyota has had in the pasy year. what do ya know, more than ford. go figure. makes you look stupid. keep swallowing everything the media tells you

  4. betatalk357 Says:

Something that doesn’t cause me to want to vomit while driving or make me attempt slitting my wrists while stuck in a traffic jam.

That is the general requisits of what the population would like to drive. HOW is the Big 3 bungling up such a simple recipe as that, that badly?

  5. betatalk357 Says:

The incentive is to buy American??? I’m not sure about exquisite tastes, but I’d like a car that doesn’t break down every 5 minutes, runs very fuel efficient, gives me a variety of choices in the drivetrain (gas or alternative powered) in my vehicle, is pretty peppy to drive, innovative, and looks nice.

I don’t need Mercedes, Porsche, or anything like that. I wouldn’t mind buying a simple cand charming American if it was a “cheap and cheerful,” but now they’re “expensive and miserable.”

  6. andgea Says:

The incentive is to buy american,D3 may go down and if you think it won’t affect every american in this country think again.Out of all the US cars you can’t find one to suit your exquisite taste by all means it is a free country, do what you want.I replied to your untrue comment of $45 an hour.Look it up and see what the wage is,it isn’t a secret. Where you getting your info on wages, from the media?Check out the tax breaks foreign makers are getting for bringing their companies to OUR country.

  7. betatalk357 Says:

If the Big 3 wants to compete in the market, they’d better charge pennies for the crap they’re making. Or, make a product as equally good.

  8. betatalk357 Says:

For that type of cash, I can get a nice import from the market full of second-hand cars that performs the same or better than a Pontiac at bargain prices.

Or I can get a fully loaded, customized Scion for the same price. So, where’s the incentive to buy an overpriced, gas guzzling, no-performance, easily-breaking, non-reliable, **** ugly, no frills American car?

  9. betatalk357 Says:

WHY is a stupid Cadillac CTS-V they built to compete with a BMW M5 going for $90k, has less features than an M5, and costs 15 grand MORE than the M5?

While you’re at it, why’s Cadillac charging $116k to $123k for a stupid XLR-V? Or $100 grand for a Corvette ZR-1? Simply because they’re putting a bit more extra power in it? It should’ve ALREADY had that type of power in it for the prices that they’re charging for these shitboxes.

    Or why’s GM charging $16 to $23k for a **** ugly Pontiac?

  10. betatalk357 Says:

No, not $200 labor a car- $200 from every car sold goes towards Toyota’s healthcare benefits package. BTW, if you DON’T make $45 an hour, what DO you make? And if it isn’t that much, tell me why many of the Big 3’s gas guzzling SUVs (especially the Cadillac Escalade) are posting MSRPs of $60k to $100,000 on GM’s website?

  11. andgea Says:

Working in the industry for the D3 that statement it isn’t true. I wish I made $45 an hour. But if you know more than I……..only costs $200 labor for a Tootoya? Humm, sounds fishy to me.

  12. betatalk357 Says:

No, UAW workers get $45 an hour working wages, and $25 an hour in benefits, or more acurately, the Big 3 charges the consumer $1,600 a vehicle for benefits/ Jobs Bank/ healthcare expenses. Toyota charges $200 a vehicle for the same benefits.

  13. betatalk357 Says:

In addition, CEOs KNEW millions of people’s jobs would be in jeopardy if they did what they want, BUT THEY DID IT ANY WAY BECAUSE THEY KNEW THE AMERICAN TAXPAYER WOULD PAY FOR THEIR GREEDY WAYS!

And the Big 3 wants America to keep buying into this whole “Buy American Cars” crap?? Bullshit! I wouldn’t pay no more than $2,000 for a brand new domestic if want me to be an interested American Car buyer.

  14. zampoojee Says:

    Very good Tony.
Finally some truth. I have a pair of those American shoes too!.

  15. Evil95GT Says:

Very well said, Tony! I worked at a Ford plant off and on for 3 years, and I know it’s nowhere near $70/hr. Thanks for setting the record straight. Best of louck to you, and the other employees of the big 3.
